SQTX

Reckless MothDrawn to the Dangerous Light

「The more dangerous the light, the closer you get」

A safe night barely moves you. The people and situations you know are bad for you are the ones your body walks toward.

— 「I know it's a bad idea.」

Three lines

Three lines that probably land

  • Strength

You're unafraid to jump, so you reach nights nobody else sees.

  • Weakness

Without a forecast of pain, you can't believe a night was real.

  • What you haven't admitted

Some part of you finds safe people disappointing.

The read

The full read

1You can't choose your light. Rather than someone gentle and safe, you're pulled toward whoever is slightly dangerous. You can't explain it and you do regret it. Then the next night you walk the same direction again. There's always a little forecast of pain in your nights.

If you could ask one thing of them

I might look casual about this. I get burned every single time.

2You look passive, but you're the one choosing. You appear to wait to be invited — while standing exactly where you'll be invited. And you don't wait long. Once you've found the light, you close the distance without hesitating.

3What you actually want isn't stimulation. It's proof of being wanted intensely, and you substitute danger for a feeling ordinary nights can't provide. Which is why you still don't know what to do with being quietly, carefully loved.

Four axes

Read it through the four axes

Each of the four letters in the code is a lean on one axis. Here's how they come out for this type.

  • SControl · Surrender

You never invite. But you stand, on purpose, exactly where you'll be invited. You look like you're waiting; the one choosing is the Moth.

  • QTempo · Quick

Once you've found the light, you don't hesitate. No long warming-up needed; you close the distance fast. The night isn't over until the small regret afterward.

  • TRegister · Tender

What you want isn't stimulation; it's proof of being wanted intensely. You substitute danger for that, which is why you still don't know how to receive a night of being quietly cared for.

  • XAdventure · Explore

Safe nights don't pull you. The worse you know a person or a situation is for you, the more your body walks toward it on its own.

Things this type tends to say

  • 「I know it's a bad idea, but.」
  • 「Just tonight.」
  • 「I get burned properly every time. I'm not casual about this.」
Neighbours

One letter away: how the neighbours differ

These are the types that match on three axes and flip on one. Read them and you'll see which axis actually decided your result.

  • Only the Control axis is flipped

    LQTXSudden Bat

The Bat becomes the light; the Moth walks toward it. Both are drawn to places nobody normally goes, but the Bat sets them up with a calm face and the Moth dives in, forecast of pain and all.

  • Only the Tempo axis is flipped

    SETXDreaming Butterfly

The Butterfly takes its time becoming someone else and feels a little embarrassed in the morning. The Moth dives into a short night and regrets it a little once it's over. The morning-after distance is the Butterfly; the regret straight afterward is the Moth.

  • Only the Register axis is flipped

    SQHXCurious Raccoon

The Raccoon is drawn to what's interesting; the Moth to what's dangerous. There's no regret in the Raccoon's nights. There's always a little in the Moth's.

  • Only the Adventure axis is flipped

    SQTCClingy Fawn

The Fawn wants only safe nights; the Moth finds safe nights unsatisfying. Both surrender, both quick, both tender, and the kind of light they want is the exact opposite.

Compatibility

Compatibility

Compatibility isn't a single score. "How much it burns tonight" and "whether it lasts" are measured separately, so you see not only your best match but the one that burns brightest and never lasts.

Best match

LQTXSudden Bat

Overall 93

To the Moth, a Bat that appears without warning is the 'light I know is a bad idea' in person. The Bat does dangerous things in a calm voice, so it can hand over the proof of being wanted intensely that the Moth is after, without the pain. Same speed. It burns, and it lasts.

Burns, but doesn't last

LEHXTeasing Spider

Overall 70

The Spider's design builds perfectly the thing the Moth is weakest against: a situation with no exit. So the Moth falls. But the Spider designs a long night, and the Moth dives into a short one. Halfway through the waiting, the Moth's heat runs out and only the Spider's blueprint is left. The first night is the best; from the second, it stops fitting.

FAQ

Frequently asked

Why does a Reckless Moth (SQTX) always pick dangerous people?
Not for the thrill. For proof of being wanted intensely. A calm night doesn't make that real for them, so they substitute danger. When a safe person feels 'not enough', the problem isn't the person; it's how the Moth receives.
People think they're casual about it. Are they?
They say they get burned every time. SQTX doesn't hesitate, but always regrets it a little afterward. They look casual only because the time before the dive is so short.
Which type is the worst fit for SQTX?
The Coiling Snake (SEHC). The Snake stays pressed close for hours and won't let go; the Moth dives in short and withdraws. Both surrender, and neither the length nor the temperature matches. The Snake's 'don't go home yet' is too heavy for the Moth.
