Sudden BatCloser Than You Noticed
「You close the distance gently, without warning」
You approach without sound, and by the time someone notices, they're already somewhere warm. Unpredictable, and somehow never frightening.

Three lines that probably land
Strength
You can get closer than anyone without ever triggering someone's guard.
Weakness
You measure enough by your own gauge and never check theirs.
What you haven't admitted
Nobody has ever actually chased you.
The full read
1There's no noise to your approach. No signal, no announcement, nothing that looks like a game. Then at some point they're inside a distance they can't retreat from — and they realise they like it. Nothing about you is forceful, and yet the lead is always yours.
If you could ask one thing of them
People say I come out of nowhere. I was watching for the moment the whole time.
2You're not fussy about where or when. In fact you do startlingly gentle things in places where nobody normally would. That contrast is your charm. Plenty of people do provocative things with a provocative face; you do them in a calm voice.
3But your nights are short. Before anyone gets to the deep water, you've returned to the air. When they're thinking 'more, tonight,' you're already full and half asleep. There's no cruelty in it — your internal clock is simply set differently. It still leaves them behind sometimes.

Read it through the four axes
Each of the four letters in the code is a lean on one axis. Here's how they come out for this type.
LControl · Lead
You never announce the lead. You approach without a sound, and by the time the other person notices, the flow is already on the Bat's side. Nothing forceful about it, and yet the starting point is always you.
QTempo · Quick
Short. You're satisfied before anyone reaches the deep water, and you withdraw cleanly. Finishing without checking how much they have left comes from exactly this shortness.
TRegister · Tender
Provocative things, done in a calm voice. You don't push with heat; you unsettle with contrast. Gentleness and surprise arrive together.
XAdventure · Explore
You aren't fussy about place or situation. Somewhere nobody normally would, you're more tender than usual. The variation shows up less in what you do than in where and when.
Things this type tends to say
- 「Didn't expect me just now?」
- 「Here's fine. Nobody's watching.」
- 「That's it, I'm satisfied.」
One letter away: how the neighbours differ
These are the types that match on three axes and flip on one. Read them and you'll see which axis actually decided your result.
Only the Control axis is flipped
SQTXReckless MothThe Moth walks toward a dangerous light on its own, but it's the other person who invites. The Bat is the one who becomes the light. Both are drawn to places that aren't normal; they stand on opposite sides of them.
Only the Tempo axis is flipped
LETXStaging FireflyThe Firefly starts with lighting and sound and designs a long night. The Bat prepares nothing and keeps it short. Both produce an unexpected night: the Firefly by building it, the Bat by ambush.
Only the Register axis is flipped
LQHXRestless MantisThe Mantis's suddenness has heat and makes people brace. The Bat's suddenness is calm and never makes anyone tense. In 'you're beside me before I noticed', the 'before I noticed' is the whole Bat.
Only the Adventure axis is flipped
LQTCDeft FoxThe Fox fixes the place and the flow and varies the details. The Bat varies the place and situation, not the details. You can read a Fox's night. You can't read a Bat's.
Compatibility
Compatibility isn't a single score. "How much it burns tonight" and "whether it lasts" are measured separately, so you see not only your best match but the one that burns brightest and never lasts.
Best match
SQTXReckless MothOverall 93
The Moth is drawn to dangerous lights; the Bat appears without warning. The situation the Moth calls 'I know it's a bad idea' is one the Bat can set up with a perfectly calm face. Same speed, and neither wants a long night. One of the few pairings that burns and lasts.
Burns, but doesn't last
SEHXDrifting JellyfishOverall 70
The Jellyfish wants its edges gone, so it accepts every one of the Bat's ambushes. But the Jellyfish takes a long time to sink. When the Bat is satisfied and withdraws, the Jellyfish is still at a depth it can't come back from. The first night is intense. Over repeated nights, only the Jellyfish is left behind.

Frequently asked
- When a Sudden Bat (LQTX) pulls away abruptly, has it gone cold?
- Not cold. Full. LQTX's standard for satisfaction is internal, and it has no habit of checking how much the other person has left. 'Not yet' won't get through unless you say it, but if you say it, they come straight back.
- Is it calculated that things always 'start before I notice'?
- Not calculated. They just spend a long time watching for the moment. In their own words: 'People say I come out of nowhere. I was watching for the moment the whole time.' It only looks calculated because they never announce it.
- Which type is the worst fit for LQTX?
- The Relentless Panther (LEHC). The Panther takes its time and passes over the same ground again and again; the Bat is full after one pass and withdraws. Both of you lead, and your ideas about how long a night should be are opposites.

Opens the game with time, difficulty and tone already set to suit your type.
"First time" (5 min, easy, always allowed to finish). Short and direct nights suit you, so start with a short round.
Tone "teasing". As someone who leads, being goaded by a female voice while you hold back hits hardest.
